The Palace of Parliament is the heaviest building in the world, and the second largest administrative building in the world (after the Pentagon).
Getting a tour of the inside of it is quite the fiasco - first we needed to meet at the tour office and show them our passports. We then had to leave all liquids (including lighters) there, and go through further security and passport checks once at the Palace of Parliament - all of this took at least an hour, before we even met the actual tour guide.
The tour of the building itself was pretty impressive - the building really was huge, and very grand! In the 45 minutes that we were in there, we actually only saw 5% of the building!
This is a must see when visiting Bucharest!
