This is a hike for the slightly more adventurous!

The car park is accessed via around 25 minutes of lane driving, 10 minutes of which are super tight! If you are not comfortable with reversing, we would recommend a different hike!

The ascent to the lake is fairly simple, following a clear gravel track. From there, it's on up the grass track above the lake, before descending down the fairly steep mountain pastures - but the views on the way down are well worth the effort!

There were wild horses on our route, so we would recommend keeping dogs on leads. It's also worth noting that we did this hike after a spell of fairly dry weather - we think it may be more slippery / boggy after rain.

Flossie.

I loved this walk, especially as there were plenty of streams and lakes to paddle in, and I even found a big stick up there! 🐾
