This is a good hike with great views even on a poor weather day. The route starts in Aberdare town and takes you through Valley Park, which was a little bit busy with dog walkers on the day we went. Once up on the hills however we hardly saw anyone, and although the terrain was steep in places the route was easy to follow and we were rewarded with lovely views of the surrounding area.

I really enjoyed this walk, especially as there was a lake for me to paddle in towards the end.
