Pen Y Fan is a very popular hike, and it's easy to see why - the car park is large and right off the main road, there are toilets, the route is very easy to follow and on a nice day the views are amazing!
Obviously for all of these reasons, expect to see a lot of other people on this hike - the path is nicknamed 'The Motorway' for a reason! This is a great option for a beginner / novice, but please don't get complacent or be mistaken into thinking it will be easy - the weather can change quickly in the mountains, so please pack appropriate gear.
