Ady & Meg.
King Michael I park, or Herastrau Park as the locals call it, is the largest green space in Bucharest and is free to enter. Here we walked around the large lake, but we saw many people hiring boats and paddle boards, or using the route for running or bike rides.
It felt very much like a park used by the locals, rather than a tourist destination, so we definitely recommend visiting here if you would like to escape the busyness of the city for a couple of hours.
Flossie.
I was not invited on this adventure ☹
