My friend and I really enjoyed the couple of hours spent wandering around this property. Generally I prefer exploring the grounds at these types of venues, but the house was beautiful and being able to see the views from the roof was the highlight!
It opens at 10am each day, although the walled garden does not open until 11am. As it gets busy quickly, I would recommend arriving at opening time, viewing the inside of the house first (via timed ticket) and then exploring the grounds afterwards.
At the time of writing this, Coughton Court is managed by The National Trust - so free entry if you have a membership, or a slightly pricey day out if not. That said, from February 2026 the Throckmorton family will resume day-to-day management of the property, which will mean that entry will no longer be free for National Trust members.
