Having Coeliac Disease in Romania is really tough - generally it is not a well understood dietary requirement there. We were therefore very excited to find a completely gluten free bakery!
Having travelled to many countries and acknowledging that Romania is quite far behind in terms of catering to Coeliacs, this bakery did not quite have the range or quality that we have experienced elsewhere.
But, what really shone about this bakery was the excellent customer service! We contacted them ahead of arriving in Bucharest, as we knew that we had two days of long excursions outside of Bucharest, and would need to buy food that would not only last, but also travel well.
Alexandra asked to call us to discuss our options, and her words of "anything for a Coeliac" really touched us. We came away with a good selection of both savory and sweet items, and without these we would have had a very hungry few days in Romania!
