Ady & Meg.

We were so excited to find this place when looking for somewhere to eat in Dawlish. From their website, it was clear that they understood what Coeliac Disease was and how to cater safely to someone with it. But as per usual procedure we dropped them a line anyway, and Meg couldn't believe her luck to find out that she could even pre-order freshly made doughnuts!

When we arrived, the staff were super attentive and patient as we struggled to pick what to order - there was just so much choice, even for vegetarians! The staff explained that most things on the menu were naturally gluten free, but they did have 'normal' bread for the muggles (so they aren't 100% gluten free).

We settled on a pizza, pie and meat lasagne to eat in, and took away a cream tea, pasties, cheesecake and doughnuts to enjoy later, and they were all fantastic! Our favourite was the doughnuts - the closest thing to fairground doughnuts Meg has had since diagnosis!

Obviously as always, please use your own judgement - this is a restaurant which contains gluten and we completely appreciate that it's often the staff member that you deal with who makes the experience. On this occasion, we were very satisfied customers.

Flossie.

I enjoyed my visit here and was given a large water bowl, with ice!
