Ady & Meg.

This is a National Trust property which had been on Meg's list for some time. At £21 each entry, it is certainly not the cheapest, especially considering that on some days this does not even include visiting the house (and couldn't for us anyway due to having Flossie with us), but the grounds are beautiful and well worth the money, especially if you manage to visit when the bluebells are out.

Something that we found quite odd was that whereas most places allow access to the car park a few minutes prior to opening time, this place was incredibly strict and sure enough this resulted in a huge queue of cars on a fast road right by a junction - it was very dangerous! Once eventually through the gate, we learnt that this was because you had to pay for entry from your car at a hut prior to reaching the car park / grounds - we can't help but feel that there must be a better way of doing this?!

Bar this, it really was a stunning place and particularly a great way to get your monies-worth if you have a National Trust membership!

Flossie.

I enjoyed my visit here as there were plenty of sticks to play with!
