After finding out on route to Kent that this fish and chip shop had recently changed hands, we were quite nervous to visit here. The reviews from when the previous owners had it were amazing, but were the new owners keeping to the same standards?
At first, we really struggled with the staff - there was quite a language barrier, and it is of course so important to ensure that staff understand our dietary requirements.
Luckily, the owner soon appeared and took charge - he explained that the staff were still in training, and he oversaw the preparation of all of our food to ensure that it was safe. Our food was delicious - clearly cooked fresh, and HUGE portions.
Obviously as always, please use your own judgement - this is a restaurant which contains gluten and we completely appreciate that it's often the staff member that you deal with who makes the experience. On this occasion, we were very satisfied customers.
