Overall Festival Experience
Ady & Meg.
Having Coeliac Disease means that you often miss out on more than just the obvious, because it simply isn't safe. For this reason, Meg had never been to a food festival and didn't really know what to expect.
When we arrived at the venue, the queue was HUGE! This went down quickly though and we were soon inside and ready to try some food! The food festival was 100% gluten free and dairy free, so appealed to several different dietary requirements, making it incredibly busy.
The food festival had both indoor and outdoor stalls, nearly all of them selling, but the indoor ones were offering free samples too. It was so nice to be able to try so much of the yummy food and not be at all concerned as to whether it was safe for coeliacs or not!
Our ticket included a free beer or juice at the bar, and there were also demonstrations/talks taking place on the stage. We did not make it to stage though, as we were too busy eating! 🐷
As well as our favourite independent vendors listed below, Schar, Warburtons and White Rabbit were there giving tasters of their new products, and they were fantastic!
This festival appears around once a year and we feel that if we were to go again we will book a morning slot rather than an afternoon slot, just because some stalls had sold out prior to us getting there. That said, we are sure that the sellers will bare that in mind for next time! 🤑

Poets Bakery
Ady & Meg.
This was probably our favourite stall at the festival because the man who served us was so lovely - customer service goes a long way in our eyes! From this vendor we enjoyed a rocky road and a blondie - they were delicious!
Henni's Sweet Treats
Ady & Meg.
We loved this stall as from it we not only enjoyed a gluten and dairy free raspberry cheesecake and cookie dough cheesecake, but Meg had her first ever waffle!
The Authentic Kitchen
Ady & Meg.
From this stall we enjoyed a strawberry cookie. We were really hoping to try their cookie pie, but unfortunately they had sold out by the time we got there - maybe next time!
Craving Crust
Ady & Meg.
From this stall we enjoyed a slice of pizza and some waffle fries. They were expensive, but the softest pizza base that we have ever had - totally worth it!
Crazy Bastard Sauce
Ady & Meg.
From this stall, we (Ady) enjoyed several of their hot sauces. Meg (who is a total wimp!) found them a little too hot for her tender palate 😂
Pimp Your Mayo
Ady & Meg.
From this stall we enjoyed flavoured mayo, and brought the entire set home with us. The jars contain the spices to add to your own mayonnaise, so they last ages.
