Meg.
This is a great walk with fantastic views on a nice day. The climb up from the carpark (doing the route anti-clockwise) is not for the faint hearted, and I can imagine it would be very slippery after some rain - definitely better to climb up it rather than slip down it!
The route visits 'Devil's Chimney', a man-made pillar cut out from the quarry, named due to it looking like a crooked and twisted chimney rising from the ground. Once at the top, your efforts are rewarded with lovely views, and it's a fairly easy walk back to the carpark.
Flossie.
I was not invited on this adventure ☹
