Ady & Meg.
Contrast therapy is the use of hot and cold temperatures on the body with a list of potential benefits to your health and wellbeing.
We had booked one hour exclusive use of the facilities, and were met by Cassie, who coached us through the whole session.
Once in our swim attire, it was time for our first dip in a chill tub. There were three tubs, with temperatures of around 10, 6 and 3 degrees celsius. Meg took the 10 and Ady took the 6, and we were surprised by quite how cold they felt! 🥶
Cassie advised that we should spend 1-3 minutes in the chill tub, and then spend 13 minutes in the sauna. We repeated this routine three times, finishing on a quick chill dip to leave us feeling awake ready for the drive home.
Cassie was very knowledgeable and supportive throughout the whole experience, and the facilities were immaculate.
Following one session, we can't say that we have felt any of the potential benefits yet - but that doesn't mean that someone else wouldn't / these wouldn't come with repeated use.
It was an experience that we will never forget and we are so glad that we tried it - we recommend that you do too!
Flossie.
I was not invited on this adventure ☹
