Port Vell is a historic harbour at the foot of La Rambla. We went down here for an early morning walk, and to see the Columbus Monument. This statue is said to be pointing towards America, but he is actually pointing in completely the wrong direction! 🤣
Later in the day many boat trips leave from this area, plus there is the aquarium and a big shopping centre here. But if like us you like a quiet walk, early morning is the perfect time to visit this place.
