This Gaudi site was one of the busier ones that we went to - especially given the size of it. Our photos outside were taken at around 7am in the morning - if you arrive during opening hours, you can expect queues of people in every direction.
We booked the Gold tickets, which gave us a timed entry (via a queue of people with the same entry time) and access to some areas not available with the basic ticket.
Casa Batllo is a UNESCO World Heritage site and we can see why - it is visually stunning both inside and out. We definitely recommend that you visit - just be prepared for crowds.
