Ady & Meg.

A trip to the Netherlands is not complete unless you have seen some windmills. If you are staying in or local to Amsterdam, a quick trip out to Zaanse Schans is an easy way to do this. There were lots of excursions available, but we would argue that this is not needed as it is easily accessible by public transport (we used Uber).

It is completely free to visit the village itself, and we spent a good couple of hours exploring and enjoying the views. It is also free to enter the shops and we even saw a clog making demonstration.

We would recommend getting there early - we did so, and bus loads of other tourists were soon hot on our tails.

Flossie.

I was not invited on this adventure ☹
