Where to park

 https://maps.app.goo.gl/L6KH3HiBk5HSb1ND6

There is free car parking on the road but this just fill up quickly on nice weather days.

In peak times paid parking is available in the field by the main road.

Walk directions

1. Once parked, walk to The Angel Inn (there are public toilets outside).

2. There is a lane to the side of the pub. Cross this and go through the black gates.

3. Walk beside the Neath River and then take the bridge to the right.

4. After crossing the river, turn left to walk along the right-hand side of the river, shortly after you will reach Sgwd Gwladus (Lady’s Fall).

5. If you’re prepared to get wet, you can walk behind this waterfall via precariously placed stepping stones.

6. From Sgwd Gwladus, climb up the bank to the right-hand side of the waterfall. Once at the top there is a clear path along the right-hand side of the river, but this doesn’t last long.

7. When a cliff of limestone blocks your path, cross the river.

8. Follow the path on the left hand side of the river before you are forced to cross the river again.

9. After the second river crossing, the path takes you along a steep and narrow exposed edge.

10. The path eventually leads you back down to the river's edge and you will see Sgwd Einion Gam straight ahead of you.

11. To return, retrace your steps.

Ady & Meg.

This is a great there and back walk to a secret Waterfall! 🤫

The trail to Sgwd Gwladus is easy going, however the second part of the walk to Sgwd Einion Gam is not for the faint hearted! We do not recommend you attempt this after bad weather or if you are not a confident hiker.

We would recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds and enjoy the sounds of nature.

The Angel Inn is a nice place to stop for a post-walk drink 🍺

Flossie.

I wasn't invited on this walk, but I would have easily managed to first part of the walk (to Sgwd Gwladus) 🐾
